Multiplayer AI, in development. Two stories play in turn. First, a profit goal: profit is heading for $34M this quarter and the goal is $40M, a $6M gap before the quarter ends on 31 Dec. The Finance lead asks how to close it. The ants of Product, Finance, Credit Risk and Collections propose Disburse more ($3.4M), Recover dues ($2.8M) and Raise rates ($2M). Credit Risk’s ant flags Raise rates as risky, and the Finance lead says do both of the others. Disbursing more to 36,000 eligible customers goes through a risk check; Credit Risk’s lead lowers limits for first-time borrowers, 30,000 are approved, and the forecast rises to $37.4M. Collections collects $1.1M in unpaid penalties and, with its lead’s go-ahead to settle written-off dues at 70% if paid by December, $1.7M more. The forecast reaches $40.2M on 18 Dec, 13 days early: goal hit. Second, one regulatory audit pack of 96 checks is due Friday at 18:00; missing it would mean regulatory action. Four teams, Credit Risk, Finance, Compliance and Collections, split the checks with their ants, which also work through the night. Credit Risk’s and Finance’s ants resolve two conflicting checks together on Tuesday night, ants hand work across teams, Collections’ lead says go ahead on an open question, and Compliance’s and Collections’ ants resolve two more on Wednesday night. Compliance’s lead approves the finished pack, and it is filed with the regulator on Thursday at 17:40, a day early.
